A GERMAN man has died in his wife’s arms while on their honeymoon in Kenya.
Eric and his wife Constanze had married before the pandemic, but were unable to go on the holiday due to the lockdowns.
But their dream honeymoon soon turned into a nightmare when Eric died from a deadly infection.
Eric’s friend Robert Gropp has set up a gofundme where he paid tribute to his colleague.
He wrote: “Eric suddenly became very ill and was taken to a hospital. His condition deteriorated rapidly and steadily, and within days Eric lost the fight against the infection and passed away”.
The donations have piled in and Robert said: “”Thank you very much for your numerous donations. Today I was able to transfer the first donations to Constanze – she is incredibly grateful and overwhelmed.”
